QSC Q-SYS Video Conferencing

What it is:

The QSC Q-SYS is a completely scalable video conferencing solution for any size corporate environment. It caters for any connected device (BYOD). Created from the ground-up, Q-SYS is a software-based platform built around an open IT-friendly ecosystem. It uniquely leverages the power of Intel processing, the robustness and mission critical reliability of a Linux operating system, and the interoperability of IEEE networking standards.

Functionality:

All Q-SYS devices sit on the network and thus can easily be grouped into rooms and then combined in many formats (audio and video, or either) at the touch of a button through intuitive programming.

The system is compatible with many industry standards such as AES67, Dante, AVB and CobraNet. All BYOD devices are automatically detected via driverless USB integration for all soft client style UC platforms.

Setup:

The system can easily be expanded upon with many networkable modules, including USB bridges, audio expansion devices, HDMI switch encoders and decoder, PTZ cameras, amplifiers, etc... Programming is a breeze as the integrator can drag and drop commands from any component in the system design onto a touch interface and those commands are instantly linked to the desired action.

Usability:

All that is required is to either connect your own device via USB and make a voice or video call via your soft client. The rest is automatic.

Maintenance:

Generally, there is no maintenance associated with these devices except for software and firmware updates needed, which can be scheduled via the network.
